The Region of Peel (herein referred to as the “Agency”) is seeking to retain a full-service architectural consulting firm (hereinafter referred to as “the Consultant”) to undertake the design and contract administration for the development of the Peel Manor Seniors Rental Building (PMSRB). The PMSRB site has been identified as a candidate for further intensification. The Agency intends to develop a new residential tower to accommodate 197 rental units that includes amenity space with surface parking. The development area is approximately 0.53 ha (1.3 acres). The proposed development at 525 Main Street, City of Brampton is part of a Campus of Care Community owned by the Region of Peel, with an existing residential building to the East, Nance Horwood, and a Long-Term Care (LTC) Facility, currently under construction to the West. The new LTC facility will replace the existing LTC facility on the parcel to be developed, which will be demolished once the new LTC facility is complete. Further to the North is a Salvation Army Resource Centre, and to the South is Manor Bridge, a 6-storey residential building owned by the Region of Peel. |
