Description: 

The works of this contract generally consists of:

.1 Mobilization and preparation of the site, including temporary fencing, silt fencing, office and equipment trailers, temporary power, investigation and removals.

.2 19m x 31m building expansion to house a new pump room, basement and electrical room.  Building expansion will be located between the existing pumping station building and the existing standby power building over top of a portion of the existing 2100mm suction header.  Shoring and temporary supports required.

.3 Relocation of the existing 600mm watermain, water service piping, 50mm sanitary forcemain, and electrical conduits within the proposed building expansion footprint area to accommodate the new building expansion layout.

.4 All major electrical equipment including new 4160V switchgear, breaker feeders and generation controls, new 600V MCC, new motor starters and relocated VFDs for all pumps, electrical and control panels, UPS units, and air conditioning units to be located in the new electrical room.

.5 Two new horizontal split case pumps (HLP4 and HLP5) in the new pump gallery. HLP4 is installed in this Contract while HLP5 and related piping and valving will be for future installation.

.6 An overhead bridge crane in the new pump room to facilitate removal of the process pumps and other equipment to be lifted in the loading area.

.7 The two new primary transformers (44kV to 4160V) will be located outdoors west of the existing standby power building, while two secondary transformers (4160V to 600V) will be located in the lower level in the pump room.

.8 New PLC control panel and SCADA upgrades in the new electrical room, including security system upgrades.

.9 New LED lighting, plumbing, water service piping and HVAC, and fire protection for the building expansion.

.10 Demolition and removal of all electrical equipment inside of the existing pumping station mezzanine level after all electrical equipment installation and relocation is sequentially completed and commissioned in the new building expansion area.

.11 Demolition and removal of the existing 44kV to 4160V outdoor transformers currently located on a concrete pad on the north side of the existing pumping station building.

.12 Removal and replacement of HLP3 (currently P8) including all related piping, valving and process instruments. 

.13 Complete refurbishment of HLP1 and HLP2 (currently P6 and P7) including mechanical and electrical components.

.14 Process piping and valve replacements on several existing pump suction and discharge lines in the existing pumping station.

.15 Removal and replacement of the existing flowmeter and piping in Chamber SI67-MC1

.16 Other associated removals and works as shown on drawings and described in the specifications.

.17 Testing and commissioning of all new equipment, piping, instrument and controls to Region of Peel standards.
