Peel Region is looking to identify development concepts that will allow the Agency the opportunity to maximize the social benefit of the Twin Pines Community while maximizing the market potential of the saleable area of the site as a means to off-set the cost of providing affordable housing. Further, the intent of this assignment is to bring together innovations in land-use planning, building design, financial structure, and community benefit in a transformative development. 

It is the Agency’s vision that the redevelopment of the Twin Pines Community reflect contemporary design excellence that is sensitive to scale and form, incorporates sustainable design principles, and integrates social and recreational spaces that enhance existing community amenities

(CETA), Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), and other applicable trade agreements.
