Description: 

The Work includes but is not limited to, the supply of all labour, materials, equipment and services necessary to complete the Work as shown or as implied by the Contract Documents.  In general, the main items of work covered by this Contract include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Preparing and maintaining access roads.
  2. Seeding, sodding and landscaping.
  3. Excavation.
  4. Filling embanking grading.
  5. Disposal of excavated material.
  6. Disposal of all ground and surface water.
  7. All sheeting, shoring, bracing and supporting.
  8. All temporary fencing, lighting and security measures.
  9. All demolition or dismantling of existing infrastructure as shown.
  10. Protection of existing and new works against the weather.
  11. Protection against erosion and provision for all environmental protection measures.
  12. All demolition and retrofit work in the existing building as shown on drawings and making good all openings.
  13. Demolition of the existing emergency generator ancillary equipment consisting of:
    1. Diesel fuel storage tank, transfer pump, interconnecting fuel piping, power and controls
    2. Engine exhaust ductwork c/w silencer and exhaust stack
    3. Remote radiator interconnecting coolant piping, power and controls
  14. Construction of a new Standby Generator Building.
  15. Relocation of one (1) emergency generator from the existing building with the following sub assemblies:
    1. Emergency generator
    2. Jacket water heater
    3. Battery charger
    4. Fuel cooler
    5. Remote roof mounted radiator
    6. Pre-lube tank, pump and control panel
    7. Expansion tank
    8. Interconnecting piping, power and controls
  16. Installation of new ancillary equipment for the relocated generator:
    1. Exhaust system c/w silencer, exhaust ductwork and exhaust stack
  17. Installation of a new emergency generator comprising of:
    1. Emergency generator
    2. Jacket water heater
    3. Battery charger
    4. Fuel cooler
    5. Remote roof mounted radiator
    6. Pre-lube tank, pump and control panel
    7. Expansion tank
    8. Intercooler c/w glycol circulation pump.
    9. Interconnecting piping, power and controls
    10. Engine exhaust system c/w silencer, exhaust ductwork and exhaust stack
  18. Supply and installation of a new fuel system comprising of:
    1. Two (2) main diesel fuel storage tanks
    2. Two (2) diesel fuel day storage tanks
    3. Fuel transfer pumps
    4. Interconnecting piping, power and controls
    5. Tank monitoring system
  19. Building ventilation system for the following rooms:
    1. Main diesel fuel storage room
    2. Product handling room (day tanks fuel storage room)
    3. Emergency generators room
    4. Electrical room.
  20. Building plumbing and drainage
    1. Fire protection system for the main diesel fuel storage tanks room
  21. Modifications to existing 600V switchgear located in Pumping Station. It involves removal of existing controls and addition of new breakers for standby power.
  22. Provision of new 600V switchgear in new facility. It will be complete with synchronisation and controls of two (2) generators.
  23. Provision of standby power during the construction. It shall be available the time existing genset will be taken out of the service till the new facility is commissioned and fully operational.
  24. Provision of auxiliary services such as lighting, HVAC, fuel storage, Fuel Transfer and other services associated with operation of a standby power system and new building requirements.
  25. It will involve installation of cable type bus system between Pumping station 600V Switchgear No1 and 600V switchgear No 2 in new generator Building.
  26. Proper grounding of Chimney and fuel storage system.
  27. Remove existing flow meters and Install new bi-directional electromagnetic flow meters for FE12411, FE12415 and FE12515 in the existing pumping station (meters already supplied and on site). The Work includes demo and new concrete saddle.
  28. Modify the existing groundwater pumping station to direct flows to the storm sewer.
  29. Replacement of existing 300mm diameter storm sewer crossing Meadowvale Blvd.
  30. Re-grading of ditch from overflow pond control chamber to storm sewer, including replacement of culverts under the main gate.
  31. Expanding parking lot asphalt, including relocation of above-ground features as necessary.
  32. Provide site grading upgrades to direct onsite stormwater runoff to the storm sewer.
  33. Provide all start-up, testing, commissioning, and training services.
  34. Provide all project documentation specified.
  35. Provide warranty services as specified.
  36. Provide all things necessary to build and complete the work and put it into satisfactory operation as specified herein.

This procurement is issued in accordance with the terms of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement
(CETA), Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), and other applicable trade agreements.
