Prequalification of Contractors for HVAC and Fuel Switching Upgrades Project at Arcadia Glen, City of Mississauga, Project 23451

The Project will include the following scope:

1. Replacement of existing gas fired Domestic Hot Water (DHW) plant with a new electrified DHW plant which includes installation of a new hot water heat pump within an acoustical enclosure along with a new hot water storage tank.

2. Replacement of two existing gas-fired Make up Air Units (MUA’s) with new units equipped with a heat pump and electric heater.

3. Structural work associated with HWHP, acoustical enclosure and MUA installation.

4. Replacement of in-suite electric baseboard heaters with new Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner (PTAC) units. Supply and installation of new Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERV’s) inside each unit, including bulkhead installation and patching/painting.

5. Replacement of all existing domestic water and sanitary piping, complete with new risers, horizontal piping and new connections to existing plumbing fixtures. 

6. Replacement of existing utility transformer in the existing hydro room with a new utility owned pad mount transformer. Provide new switchgear, distribution panels and transformers in the old utility room which will now become the new electrical room and feed into new equipment.

7. All other upgrades to electrical distribution to suit the increased load requirements.

8. Coordination with Alectra for service upgrade.

9. Protection/removal of trees and permitting.

10. Miscellaneous tasks including cutting, patching, painting and furnishing of suites to provide tenants with temporary accommodations for in-suite work.

11. Muti phases construction.
