The Region of Peel (herein referred to as the “Agency”) is seeking to retain a full-service architectural consulting firm to act as Prime Consultant (hereinafter referred to as the “Prime Consultant” or “Consultant”) in providing full-service and inclusive architectural and professional consulting services for the design, construction, and Canada Green Building Council Zero Carbon Building (CaGBC ZCB) Design Certification of a new youth shelter in Brampton, ON. The site is located at 1358 Queen Street West, Brampton, Ontario, with the legal description Part of Lot 6, Concession 3 West of Hurontario Street. Part 1, Plan 43R-38993, PIN 14094-0042(LT) (Appendix 10.2 – Reference Plan) at the major intersection of Queen Street West and Chinguacousy Rd. The Agency intends to develop a new 4-storey, 80-bed youth shelter, that includes amenity space with surface parking. The development area is approximately 0.27 ha (0.67 acres) This site has been identified as a candidate for further intensification. The Agency is seeking a Prime Consultant firm experienced in leading complex shelter developments. The Consultant shall assemble a competent team to provide comprehensive and multi-disciplinary services that will include, but are not limited to, architectural, planning, public consultation, structural, mechanical, electrical, energy, civil, accessibility, landscape, building code, building science, contract administration, and all other necessary consulting services to deliver this project from schematic design to total completion of the project. The successful Bidder shall, as a condition of contract award, be required to execute an Agreement with the Agency in the form and on the terms of the modified OAA DOC 600, 2013, as supplemented and amended by the attached Schedules A to D inclusive. |
