The Region of Peel (herein referred to as the “Agency”) is seeking to retain a full-service architectural consulting firm (hereinafter referred to as “the Consultant”) to undertake the design and contract administration for the development of a new affordable housing building in Caledon, Ontario. The site is currently located on Pattulo Drive in Mayfield West, Phase II in the Town of Caledon, within legal description. Block 159, Plan 43M2112; Subject to Easement in Gross Over Part 2, Plan 43R-39658 as in PR3789425; Town of Caledon, PIN 14252-1404(LT) at major intersection of McLaughlin Road and Mayfield Road has been identified as a candidate for further intensification. The Agency intends to develop a new affordable residential building to accommodate 80 rental units, with a mix of 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom units that includes amenity space with surface parking. The development area is approximately 0.71 ha (1.75 acres.) The Agency is seeking a Consultant firm experienced in leading complex and large scale multi-residential developments. The Consultant shall assemble a competent team to provide comprehensive and multi-disciplinary services that will include, but are not be limited to, architectural, planning, public consultation, structural, mechanical, electrical, energy, civil, accessibility, landscape, building code, building science, contract administration, and all other necessary consulting services to deliver this project from schematic design to total completion of the project. Bidders shall note that there will be one non-mandatory site visit scheduled for Friday, August 16, 2024 starting at 10:30am on Pattulo Drive, between Petch Ave and McLaughlin Road, Caledon, ON . Bidders are to meet on Pattulo Drive, in front of the empty lot. Bidders shall refer to the exact location on the site map provided in Appendix 10.10). Attendance will be at the discretion of the Bidder, however, Bidders who choose not to attend will be deemed to have received all of the information made available to attendees. A Bidder’s failure to attend the non-mandatory site visit is at the Bidder’s sole risk and responsibility. |
