Description: 

The Region of Peel intends to prequalify experienced General Contractors and tunneling sub-contractors for the East Brampton Watermain Contract 1 located in the City of Brampton. The East Brampton Watermains – Contract 1, Project 14-1240 and 14-1257, is anticipated to involve the installation of approximately 1.5km of twinned 900/1050mm and 1500mm Watermain (WM) along Dixie Road, between Howden Boulevard and North Park Drive in the City of Brampton. The proposed twin watermains will be constructed using a combination of open cut and tunnelling methods. The tunnel is expected to be twin microtunnels that will be constructed at an average depth between approximately 10 to 16 meters below grade which is expected to be within overburden.  A tunnel will connect the works on Dixie Road to the East Brampton Pump Station.

This procurement is issued in accordance with the terms of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement
(CETA), Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), and other applicable trade agreements.
