The Region of Peel owns and operates a Motorola P25 simulcast trunked radio system located at 10 telecommunication sites. Nine telecommunication site shelters have HVAC system that keep the radio system operating in a desired temperature environment. These current HVAC systems have problems with economizers, condenser coils, compressors, damper motor, and gauges. They are reaching the end of life and are due for replacement.

Scope of work

1. Detailed Design

   1. The vendor shall conduct site visits to determine HVAC/ controller installation locations, power source, logistics of moving equipment in and out the sites.

   2. The vendor shall confirm the matching of electrical phase between the new HVAC and site power supply.

   3. The vendor shall prepare and issue to VCOM one (1) drawing package including HVAC/Controller model number, product data and specification, installation location, power source, logistic of moving equipment and project schedule for each site for review and approval.

       

2. Installation

   1. The vendor is responsible for removing and depositing the existing HVAC and its associated parts including refrigerant.

   2. The vendor is responsible for the cost of ordering, mobilizing and setting up the crane at any site as require.

   3. The vendor is responsible for installing the new HVAC system including integration with the Victaulic Vortex Fire suppression system at the Bolton site.
