The Region of Peel, on behalf of Peel Housing Corporation, is seeking to retain an experienced closed loop Geoexchange system Contractor to perform deep borehole drilling and piping for the installation of a closed loop geoexchange system, that will be included in the new affordable housing residential tower to be constructed at the Chelsea Gardens site on Knightsbridge Road in the City of Brampton. The successful Contractor will deliver the required services in two phases; Phase 1 works will be completed under this Contract and includes installation of vertical underground closed loop piping system including inspection and certification within 12 weeks after contract award, and will be managed directly by Peel Region. Under this Contract, Bidders will be required to provide comprehensive advanced pricing for the Phase 2 works, where the closed loop geoexchange system Contractor will return to the Chelsea gardens site and perform extension of the piping to the mechanical room, complete pressure testing, purging, flushing, and filling the piping, as the geoexchange sub-contractor to the General (prime) Contractor performing all works for the construction of the new affordable housing residential tower at Chelsea Gardens on Knightsbridge Road. The commencement of Phase 2 works will be coordinated with the eventual General (prime) contractor responsible for the construction of the new affordable housing residential tower. There will be a non-mandatory site visit scheduled in order to ascertain the Work requirements outlined in the Bid Document that will take place on Monday, February 12, 2024 starting at 11.00am at 10 Knightsbridge Rd in Brampton, Ontario, L6T 5L6. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit to ascertain the specifics of the Work.
