| Description: |
The Region of Peel (herein after referred to as the “Agency”) is responsible for planning, design, constructing, operating and maintaining the sanitary sewer network, pumping stations and treatment plants within its municipal boundaries. The lake-based wastewater system services the cities of Mississauga and Brampton and the communities of Caledon East, Bolton and Mayfield West in the Town of Caledon. The system consists of two separate gravity trunk sewer systems, namely the East Trunk System and the West Trunk System, which terminate on the shores of Lake Ontario at the G. E. Booth Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and Clarkson WWTP, respectively.
