Description: |
The Region of Peel (herein referred to as the “Agency”) is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the sanitary sewer network, pumping stations, and wastewater treatment plants within the Regional Municipality of Peel boundaries. Wastewater is generally conveyed by gravity from north to south through the collection system to the wastewater treatment facilities at Lake Ontario. The lake-based wastewater system services Mississauga, Brampton and parts of Caledon. The Peel wastewater system comprises of two principal trunk systems: the West trunk system that conveys flows along and near the Credit Valley to the Clarkson Wastewater Treatment Plant; and the East trunk system that conveys flows along and near the Etobicoke Creek Valley to the G. E. Booth Wastewater Treatment Plant. In order to optimize the infrastructure upgrades and timing of upgrades for the West trunk system and the East trunk system, including the wastewater treatment facilities, an East to West diversion is required. The Schedule C Class EA Study resulted in the identification of an 11 km long gravity trunk sewer located along Derry Road, Old Derry Road, Old Creditview Road, and Creditview Road between Spring Creek (550m east of Bramalea Road) and the Credit River (300m south of Highway 401 & Creditview Road) in the City of Mississauga, The detailed design of the East to West Diversion Trunk Sewer has been awarded to JACOBS (CH2M HILL The bid document will be posted https://peelregion.bidsandtenders.ca when available. This procurement is issued in accordance with the terms of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement
