Pre-qualification of Vendors for the Supply of Landscaping Maintenance and Restoration/Construction Services at Various Public Works Facilities and Communication Tower Properties Within the Region of Peel.

The Project will include the following scope:

  1. Regular landscaping related maintenance, restoration, and/or construction services completed from May to September;
  2. Fall clean-up completed in October (and November if required);
  3. Weekly proactive site visits and visual inspections to ensure all Agency properties are being maintained as per level of service guidelines;
  4. Grass cutting, trimming, and lawn maintenance;
  5. Lawns are to be consistently maintained at a length no greater than five (5) centimetres;
  6. Removal, disposal, and/or even dispersal of grass clippings;
  7. Weed control including removal of weeds in lawns, gardens, stone gardens, sidewalks, buildings, etc;
  8. Chemical weed treatment;
  9. Application of mulch, fertilizer, etc;
  10. Collection, removal, and disposal of debris, litter, leaves, and dead vegetation on Agency property;
  11. Visual inspections to the entire fence line perimeter and remove any vines, branches, debris, and/or litter found along/in the fence;
  12. Garden clean-up and refresh including the application of compost/triple mix, application of bark mulch, pruning, edging, weed removal, and removal of debris;
  13. Ongoing garden maintenance including weeding, trimming, edging, pruning, etc;
  14. Tree, shrub, and bush clean-up and refresh including the application of bark mulch, pruning, edging, weed removal, and removal of debris;
  15. Ongoing tree, shrub, and beach clean-up including weeding, trimming, edging, pruning, removal of dead limbs, etc;
  16. Removal and disposal of dead trees and vegetation;
  17. Landscaping revitalization;
  18. Winterization of all plant materials involving wrapping of vegetation in burlap;
  19. Monitoring and removal of garbage and recycling materials in all exterior bins;
  20. Seasonal irrigation system maintenance;
  21. Insect, pest, and/or fungal treatment to landscaped areas;
  22. Landscaping related restoration, construction, and design services (i.e. lawn restoration, installation of new turf and/or sod, additional site clean-up, removal of dead trees, removal of dead vegetation, landscaping design, planting of new gardens and trees, grading, washout repairs due to heavy rain, drainage repairs and water ponding remediation, restoration of existing laneways using granular materials, procurement and installation of new landscaping related items (i.e. gazebos, picnic tables, storage sheds, etc.), and general landscaping construction;
  23. Timely and organized completion and submission of daily activity sheets/logs and monthly reports;
  24. Ongoing quality control, management, and assurance services including weekly site visits conducted by Foreperson, collection and submission of pictures taken before and after each service, submission of GPS tracking reports for all company vehicles;
  25. Ongoing daily communication with the Agency’s designated staff by phone, email, and/or text messaging; and
  26. Vendor management attendance to ongoing monthly touch base meetings with the Agency (either virtual or in-person).
