The East Brampton Watermain, Contract 1, Projects 14-1240 and 14-1257 (the “Project”), will include the installation of approximately 2.80km of twinned 900mm/1050mm and 1500mm Watermain (WM) along Dixie Road, between Clark Boulevard and North Park Drive in the City of Brampton (from Shaft 6 to Shaft 10). 

Summary of Anticipated Works: The proposed twin watermains will be constructed via tunneling. The tunnel between Shaft 6 and Shaft 9A is proposed to be a single large dimeter tunnel with twin watermain installed inside. The single large tunnel will be constructed at a depth between approximately 24 to 29 meters below grade which will be entirely within rock The tunnel north of shaft 9 will be twin tunnels that will be constructed at an average depth of seven (7) to thirteen (13) meters below grade which will be within overburden. A 140m tunnel with 1500mm WM will connect the works on Dixie Road to the East Brampton Pump Station (from Shaft 10 to Shaft 11), and the 900mm WM will extend for approximately 160m north of Shaft 10 via open cut towards North Park Drive. A connection from the 1050mm WM will extend west from Dixie Road at interconnection Shaft 9C along Williams Parkway for approximately 125m via single tunnel
