Description: 

The main items of work covered by this Contract include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Installation of Blind Flange in HFM2 valve chamber at the Burnhamthorpe Library, within the parking lot at the southwest corner of Burnhamthorpe Road and Dixie Road;
  2. Installation of Blind Flange in HFM2 valve chamber at Eastgate Parkway, within an existing construction compound on the south side of Eastgate Parkway approximately 240m east of Tomken Road;
  3. Complete installation of feedermain and watermain systems;
  4. Complete installations Line Valve Chamber (LVC) at APK – AC-DC valve chamber;
  5. Complete installation of two (2) Pre-Cast Line Valve Chambers (LVC) at APK;
  6. Upgrades to one existing valve chamber 12-1 at APK;
  7. Upgrades to one existing HFM2 valve chamber;
  8. Decommissioning of existing yard piping by open cut removal;
  9. Decommissioning and abandonment of existing yard piping;
  10. Open cut installation: open cut trench to install pipe and connect to existing watermains; construct valve chambers as indicated; tie into existing pipework; place bedding and backfill trench; pre-commissioning or commissioning and testing of installed Work;
  11. Restoration works including but not limited to site landscape features, roadwork, boulevard and sidewalk;
  12. Maintenance of Traffic.

The Contract includes but is not limited to the following Work:

  1. Adhering to the Agency’s communication and public relations strategies
  2. Constructing the complete works as specified herein;
  3. Supply of products as specified;
  4. Site preparation;
  5. Clearing of the site;
  6. Tree pruning, protection and removal;
  7. Grading, drainage, sodding and landscaping;
  8. Site drainage during the construction period;
  9. Temporary facilities during the construction period;
  10. Maintaining existing roads used during construction and leaving these roads in as good a condition as they were prior to site work;
  11. Maintaining traffic control including the removal and placement of all pavement markings;
  12. Excavation shoring systems;
  13. Excavating and disposal of surplus materials;
  14. Dewatering, treatment and disposal during construction period;
  15. Placement of feedermain and watermain;
  16. Trench restoration;
  17. Environmental protection during construction period;
  18. Temporary fencing, hoarding, lighting, and security during construction;
  19. Performance testing of all equipment and systems provided;
  20. Placing the equipment supplied under this Contract into successful continuous operation;
  21. Completion of all inspections, testing, and regulatory approvals;
  22. Watertight testing;
  23. Cleaning, flushing, pressure testing, and draining;
  24. Disinfection of potable water lines;
  25. Water quality testing;
  26. Cleaning up on completion;
  27. Site restoration to existing or better condition;
  28. Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning; and
  29. Warranty period.
